​The crafting bug bit Bev and Dave Harvey purely by accident, but not entirely unawares.
 
Upon purchasing some moulds for their own personal use, Bev was warned that this crafting thing was an addictive hobby. Laughing off the friendly prediction, the Harveys now find themselves as passionate crafters who get a real sense of satisfaction and achievement when seeing the creative process through from mould to final glaze.
 
Garden Friends offer quirky additions for your garden or patio; from a little frog to an owl or dragon, each new Garden Friend is diligently and lovingly made in a workshop in Whangarei.

Inspired by New Zealand's natural coastal beauty, her original silk paintings depict native birds and beaches from all over the country in amazingly bright vivid colour.

These paintings are then printed, by hand, to make other products such as art prints, calendars, and many other gift items which are popular with both tourists and locals alike.  Jo's most popular pieces are are the outdoor garden art range on aluminium.

Jo has worked full time on her art since 2000 and although her studio is private, she sells in exclusive outlets all over NZ and at local events and shows.

Picture this... the Hass Avocados were planted and all of Chrissy Jones' family money was sunk into their orchard but there was no crop for three years!  Then one day Chrissy’s friend suggested she start to make preserves. 

Flash forward two years when originally a “dumb idea” evolves into a booming business; a registered kitchen; labelling area; and lots of fruit trees planted.  Chrissy finds true joy in going out; picking the fruit; working all day to create wonderful batches of original Chutney, Jam, Jelly, Cheese (Fruit) and Marmalade from old recipes (in four sizes).

It’s Chrissy’s passion to produce a delicious taste sensation and when someone says “Gosh I really enjoyed that”- it’s better than money and good for the soul!
